Call for Public Comments: Amendments to Local Criminal Rule 12

The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia announced today approved amendments to Local Criminal Rule 12, which would change the time allowed to file and respond to listed pretrial motions from eleven (11) to fourteen (14) days.

The amendments will take effect on April 17, 2018, subject to revision in light of any comments received.  Interested parties may submit comments on the proposed amendments by U.S. mail or e-mail on or before April 16, 2018, to:
